Spica 3 launch monitor

Flagship portable

Spica 3

The strongest portable GOLFJOY unit for buyers who move between rooms or locations.

  • You want triple cameras and built-in touchscreen control
  • Left- and right-handed players share the setup

Watch if: The room is permanent and you want nothing beside the ball.

View Product →
Rigel 2 launch monitor

Overhead room

Rigel 2

The dedicated-room choice when the launch monitor should stay off the floor for left- and right-handed golfers.

  • The hitting area should stay clear
  • Left- and right-handed players share the room

Watch if: Putting should be tracked from the ceiling (see Rigel 3), or the ceiling is outside 9 to 10.2 ft.

View Product →
Rigel 3 launch monitor

Flagship overhead

Rigel 3

The flagship overhead choice for full shots through putting and the deepest data set.

  • Putting should be tracked from the same overhead unit
  • Up to 42 metrics and commercial-duty operation matter

Watch if: The budget is for a simple full-swing practice room.

View Product →

Most Buyers Should Start with the Room

If the monitor must move between garage, backyard and travel, start with Spica 3. If the room is permanent, Rigel 2 and Rigel 3 keep the hitting area clear.

Compare the Lineup →

If Left- and Right-Handers Share the Bay

Rigel 2 and Rigel 3 both support left- and right-handed golfers from the ceiling, and Rigel 3 needs no repositioning between players. A portable unit moves with the player.

Common system types

Use the Same Checklist for Any System.

Match the system type to your room, then ask each seller for written software, installation and renewal terms.

GOLFJOY Camera Lineup

Portable and overhead camera systems under one product line, so buyers can start with the room instead of switching brands.

Use the GOLFJOY matrix above to choose the exact unit.

Premium Camera Portable

Portable camera units usually fit indoor rooms well and can deliver strong ball and club data.

Confirm included software length, renewal price and third-party connection rules.

Subscription-Gated Portable

Some portable systems look simple at checkout, but key software, data or course-play features may depend on an active plan.

Ask what stops working if the plan is not renewed.

Radar or Hybrid Unit

Radar-led products can be strong outdoors, but indoor buyers must verify required ball flight and room depth.

Measure your space before comparing price.

Premium Overhead Bay

Dedicated ceiling systems can be powerful, but they are usually tied to install planning and software terms.

Ask for per-bay software and install costs in writing.

Method and fine print

The market-type rows are a seller checklist, not claims about a named competitor. Spica 3 includes 3 months of the GOLFJOY Pro mobile app's full features on iOS and Android. GOLFJOY PC software is not included, and course play on a Windows PC needs a current annual plan sold separately. Standalone Rigel 2 and Rigel 3 units include 6 months of GOLFJOY Diamond, currently 160 courses at 4K resolution. P8, S200, S300, the S Series Pro rooms and S500 Elite include 12 months. P8 includes Professional. Every S Series room includes Diamond, then the published annual plan. Multi-bay venue programs, Commercial Simulator Suite and GDA project terms are confirmed in the written proposal before payment. GSPro, E6 and Creative Golf 3D are supported connections. They are licensed separately by their publishers, and their prices are not included in GOLFJOY plan prices. Confirm the current written terms for every system you evaluate.

Questions to ask any seller

A Quote Is Only Useful When the Software Terms Are Written Down.

Take these questions to GOLFJOY or to anyone else. The answer should be specific enough that you can compare two quotes line by line.

01

What Exactly Is Included, and for How Long?

Starter periods are common, but they are not the same thing as permanent access. Ask for the included months, renewal price and what changes after renewal in writing.

Ask: “How many months are included, what is the renewal price, and what changes if I do not renew?”

02

Was the Device Designed for My Room?

Camera systems are usually easier indoors because they read the ball near impact. Radar-led systems can be excellent outdoors, but the room depth question matters.

Ask: “How much ball flight does this unit need before the screen, net or wall stops the ball?”

03

Is Club Data Measured, Estimated or Locked?

Ball data tells you what happened. Club data helps explain why. Ask whether the device measures the club directly, estimates it from ball flight or requires another plan.

Ask: “Which club metrics are measured directly, and are any of them behind a paid tier?”

04

Can I Change Software Later?

Open connections matter because software tastes change. A launch monitor that works with GSPro, E6 and Creative Golf 3D gives you more room to grow.

Ask: “Which third-party software works today, and what does each connection cost?”

05

What Contributes to Long-Term Ownership Cost?

Do not stop at hardware price. Add renewal plans, third-party licenses, install cost and any per-bay terms for venues.

Ask: “List the hardware, software renewal, third-party software, installation and venue-specific costs in writing.”
