Located in the heart of Guangzhou’s Baiyun District, Tongtai ONE Sports Club has redefined what urban golf can look like. Surrounded by the city yet embraced by the natural greenery of the 5A-rated Baiyun Scenic Area, the club seamlessly blends golf, fitness, dining, leisure, and education into one five-star lifestyle destination.

By integrating large-scale outdoor facilities with a high-tech indoor golf training center powered by GOLFJOY simulators, Tongtai ONE has successfully created a new answer to a common urban question:

“Where do friends go when they want to relax, socialize, and still do something meaningful?”

Everyone’s talking about “light social experiences” lately. What makes Tongtai ONE such a popular choice for friends gathering in Guangzhou?

I think it’s because we solved a very real problem. People want to meet friends, but not just to sit and talk — they want to do something together. Golf happens to be perfect for that. You can chat, compete a little, laugh a lot, and still feel like you’re spending your time well.

With GOLFJOY simulators indoors and a full outdoor range and course, people can drop by after work, on weekends, or even late at night. It’s flexible, social, and never boring.

So it’s not just about serious training?

Not at all. Of course, we support professional training, but a huge part of our audience comes for social play.

Three to five friends, a simulator bay, some friendly competition, maybe a putting challenge or target game — it’s perfect for weekends or after work. That’s why we call it light social golf. GOLFJOY’s game modes and interactive features make it genuinely fun, even for people who’ve never played before.

How does the simulator technology support coaching and youth training?

This is where GOLFJOY really shines. For juniors especially, the built-in games — putting challenges, target practice, competitive modes — turn training into something rewarding instead of repetitive.

Kids learn without realizing they’re learning. There’s competition, scoring, progression. Coaches can explain swings using real data and instant replay, which shortens the learning curve significantly. It’s education and entertainment happening at the same time.

Your facilities are impressive — indoor, outdoor, fitness, dining. How do all these pieces work together?

We see golf as a lifestyle, not a single activity. Someone might start in the simulator room, move to the outdoor range, then relax with friends over food, or bring their kids for training while they work out.

The simulator acts as the connector — it brings people in, keeps them engaged, and encourages them to explore everything else the club offers.

Director Li Jinlong has been involved in golf for 17 years. What’s his view on simulator golf?

He often says that GOLFJOY simulators solved the biggest pain points for urban golfers — lack of time and extreme weather.

Whether it’s summer heat or a busy schedule, simulators allow people to play when they want, how they want. For modern city life, that flexibility is essential.

Beyond entertainment, Tongtai ONE also focuses heavily on education. Why is that important?

Golf can open doors far beyond the sport itself. Through our academy, we combine golf training with academic planning and international pathways, working with overseas institutions like The Missing Link Golf Academy.

We help students explore U.S. university options, Ivy League pathways, and domestic golf-related academic programs. Golf becomes a bridge — connecting education, discipline, and future opportunities.
