Hangzhou, China — October 2025 — The 2025 Hangzhou Open, jointly hosted by the China Golf Association and the Hangzhou Municipal Government, concluded successfully at the West Lake Golf Club from October 16–19, 2025. As a co-sanctioned event of the China Tour and the European Challenge Tour (HP Tour), the tournament drew 120 elite players from 30 countries, competing for a total purse of USD 500,000. This prestigious event marked the second-to-last stop of the European HP Tour season, solidifying Hangzhou’s growing influence as a global golf destination.
To celebrate the fusion of technology and elite competition, GOLFJOY — a global innovator in golf simulation and performance analytics — brought its advanced training solutions to the tournament. On October 14, ahead of the championship rounds, GOLFJOY invited two European Tour professionals to experience the company’s flagship Spica 3 launch monitor and All-in-One Range Simulator through a special on-site challenge.
During the session, the pros participated in nearest-to-pin and shot accuracy contests, testing the system’s ability to capture real-time data on ball direction, curvature, and carry distance. Both players praised Spica 3’s unmatched precision and responsiveness, noting how closely the performance data reflected their actual swing feel.
“The GOLFJOY Spica 3 tracks every detail with incredible accuracy—it’s a system that feels professional yet approachable,” said one European Challenge Tour player. “It makes training both more productive and more fun.”
The event also incorporated an interactive player-versus-player challenge, showcasing how GOLFJOY’s integrated systems combine competitive energy with immersive technology—enhancing not only professional training but also youth golf development through gamified practice formats.
“We’re proud to see GOLFJOY technology featured alongside such a world-class tournament,” said a GOLFJOY representative. “The Hangzhou Open exemplifies the spirit of international competition, and we believe our innovation can make that experience smarter, simpler, and more engaging for golfers everywhere.”
The Hangzhou Open—originally launched in 2019 as the Hangzhou International Golf Championship and upgraded in 2024 to dual-tour certification—has rapidly become one of Asia’s most important professional tournaments. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the West Lake Golf Club’s scenic course spans 700,000 square meters, providing a challenging yet picturesque stage for top-tier competition. In this year’s edition, Spain’s Sebastián García captured his first European HP Tour title after a dramatic two-hole playoff, while China’s Chai Bowen earned Best Chinese Player honors with a tied-12th finish at 12-under-par.
Through its involvement, GOLFJOY not only demonstrated world-class innovation but also reinforced its commitment to supporting the evolution of professional golf across Asia and beyond.
