GOLFJOY OPEN Kicks Off, Pioneering Technological Innovation in Golf

Beijing, September 8, 2025 – The 2025 China Tour GOLFJOY OPEN, hosted by Shenzhen GOLFJOY Technology Co., Ltd., officially commenced today in Beijing. This marks the second China Golf Tour event organized by GOLFJOY in 2025, setting a historic precedent for a single company to host two China Tour events within the same year.

In March this year, the GOLFJOY Women’s Open was successfully held at Mission Hills in Dongguan, attracting 120 players from seven countries and regions, including China, Thailand, Japan, and Malaysia. The event received extensive media coverage, with live broadcasts on CCTV5 Sports Channel and over ten other media outlets.

01 Event Innovation: A Historic Milestone in China Tour

The GOLFJOY OPEN signifies a new era in the development of golf in China. Hosting two China Golf Tour events in one year is an unprecedented achievement in the history of the China Tour. As a long-term and trusted partner of the China Golf Association, GOLFJOY continues to play a pivotal role in the professional golf sector, committed to providing a broad platform for aspiring professional athletes to showcase their talents and pursue their dreams.

Wei Qingfeng, Secretary-General of the China Golf Association, stated, “As a leading enterprise in the digital and intelligent golf industry in China, GOLFJOY’s profound expertise and innovative achievements in the golf field give us great confidence in our collaboration.”

02 Urban Golf: Dual-City Initiative to Redefine Sports Spaces

During the event, GOLFJOY will also showcase urban golf holes at the competition site and officially announce the launch of urban golf projects in Hangzhou and Guangzhou. This initiative represents a significant step in GOLFJOY’s commercial operations following its event sponsorship.

Urban golf, as a new business model, offers various innovative approaches. GOLFJOY provides clients with comprehensive solutions, from project planning and design to construction, equipment supply, and operational services.

Golf club concept course with greenery and modern building

In the planning of the Hangzhou and Guangzhou projects, GOLFJOY may adopt multiple innovative models: deploying 18 container simulators on 10,000-20,000 square meters of open space, complemented by clubhouses and restaurants, creating a “one-stop” golf social venue. The innovation includes using simulators for long shots and real grass greens for short putts. Notably, the Guangzhou urban golf project, as the world’s first outdoor urban golf project, will pioneer the experience of using real grass greens for outdoor putting.

These projects integrate golf into the urban commercial ecosystem, leveraging technology to lower participation barriers, making golf, traditionally seen as an “elite sport,” accessible to a broader audience.
