The 2026 GOLFJOY Women’s Open ended with a playoff finish at Mission Hills Golf Club in Dongguan, Guangdong, where GOLFJOY Brand Ambassador Ren Yijia defeated Canadian national team NextGen member Shauna Liu to capture her first professional title and fifth CLPG Tour victory. The second edition of the event brought together a strong international field and showcased GOLFJOY’s latest golf technology throughout the week.
A Playoff Finish at Mission Hills
Ren and Liu finished tied at 11-under-par after 54 holes, sending the match into a sudden-death playoff . On the first extra hole, Ren converted a birdie putt to secure the win and lift her fifth CLPG Tour trophy.
The victory was a breakthrough moment for Ren, who claimed her first professional title in just her second start since turning pro,while also securing her fifth CLPG Tour win.

An International Lineup
The tournament featured a highly competitive international field, bringing together 120 players from 11 countries and regions. The lineup included 21 CLPGA champions, 22 players ranked within the world’s top 600, and 19 of the top 20 players from the 2025 season standings. Notable participants included defending champion Wang Zixuan, Order of Merit leader Shi Yuli, three-time winner Xu Ying, and Qualifying Tournament medalist Yu Anni, alongside rising professionals such as Ren Yijia and Zhou Shiyuan.
Competing for a total prize fund of RMB 800,000 (approximately USD 116,137), the event underscored both the depth of talent and the increasing competitiveness of the CLPGA Tour (Source: Xinhua News Agency).
Thailand’s Onkanok Soisuwan opened with a 68 to lead after the first round, while Canadian-Chinese player Shauna Liu stayed in contention throughout the week and ultimately pushed the event into a playoff.

Where Technology Met Competition
Beyond the competition, GOLFJOY used the event to showcase its latest AI-powered golf systems. A dedicated AI Golf Simulation Pod was set up beside the practice range, giving players and spectators the chance to experience the GOLFJOY Pro AI Golf Assistant during tournament week.
The GOLFJOY Spica 3 was also positioned at key tee boxes on the Olazabal Course, where live shot data including ball speed, carry distance, and shot trajectory was displayed for on-site and online viewers.
