The 16,000-square-meter Haiwaihai City Golf complex brings together an 18-hole simulator course, 26 practice bays, VIP suites, coaching and social experiences through an integrated GOLFJOY solution.

HANGZHOU, China — July 24, 2026 — GOLFJOY has completed the technology deployment for Haiwaihai City Golf, a new 16,000-square-meter indoor golf complex in Hangzhou developed by Haiwaihai Group. Powered by GOLFJOY’s integrated simulator technology, the destination marks the company’s second major City Golf project and expands the concept from outdoor to indoor urban environments.

Haiwaihai City Golf features an 18-hole simulator golf course, 26 open simulator practice bays and seven private VIP simulator suites, alongside golf instruction, junior development, tournaments, dining, business entertainment and social experiences.

Rather than functioning as a conventional collection of simulator bays, the project was designed as a complete urban golf destination — bringing more of the golf experience into a single, year-round facility located closer to where people live and work.

Bringing the Golf Experience Into the City

Traditional golf depends heavily on land, weather and travel time. City Golf approaches those constraints differently.

By combining digital golf technology with purpose-built physical spaces, the model allows practice, full-round simulator play, instruction, competition and social experiences to coexist within a significantly more compact urban footprint.

Haiwaihai City Golf represents the indoor evolution of that concept.

The Hangzhou project follows the launch of Huamei 131 in Guangzhou in December 2025, GOLFJOY’s first major outdoor City Golf deployment. Together, the two projects demonstrate how the same broader concept can adapt to both outdoor and fully indoor commercial environments.

For GOLFJOY, that progression is important. The company’s role increasingly extends beyond supplying individual launch monitors or simulator bays to providing integrated technology and planning solutions for larger commercial golf destinations.

One GOLFJOY Ecosystem Across the Venue

Haiwaihai Group selected GOLFJOY following an evaluation of multiple golf technology providers, with the project requiring more than simulator hardware alone.

Across the facility, GOLFJOY technology connects simulator systems, GOLFJOY software, performance tracking and digital training capabilities into a unified operating environment.

The venue also introduces a custom digital course inspired by Hangzhou’s renowned West Lake scenery, bringing recognizable local landmarks into the simulator experience and giving the destination a distinct connection to its home city.

This combination of technology, software and venue-specific content demonstrates how commercial simulator projects can be designed around more than equipment — creating experiences shaped around the location, audience and business model of each facility.

Built for Practice, Play and Player Development

Player development is another central part of the Haiwaihai concept.

The venue combines simulator-based long-game practice with physical short-game environments, allowing golfers to use performance data for full-swing training while retaining real-world feel around the green.

During the opening, former World No. 1, major champion and Olympic medalist Shanshan Feng experienced the GOLFJOY-powered facility and spoke about the role technology can play in player development.

“Data is not a replacement for a coach. It helps players understand their movement and ball flight more clearly,” Shanshan Feng said. “City Golf is also not a replacement for the golf course. It reduces the barriers of time, distance and weather, giving more people the opportunity to experience the game and stay with it.”

The facility is also home to a new industry-education development base established with Zhejiang Tourism College, supporting golf instruction, youth development and professional training.

Together, these elements position Haiwaihai City Golf as more than an entertainment venue. It serves as a place to practice, learn, compete and socialize throughout the year.

From Simulator Installations to Urban Golf Infrastructure

The completion of Haiwaihai City Golf represents an important milestone in GOLFJOY’s commercial strategy.

A home simulator may require one launch monitor. A simulator studio may require several bays. A 16,000-square-meter urban golf destination requires technology that can operate as part of a much larger commercial ecosystem.

Haiwaihai demonstrates that scale.

For developers and operators considering indoor golf, the project provides a working example of how simulator technology can anchor a broader destination combining sport, instruction, entertainment and hospitality within an urban property.

For GOLFJOY, it demonstrates how the company’s technology can scale from individual practice environments to complete commercial golf projects.

As the City Golf model continues to develop, GOLFJOY plans to apply the experience gained from Guangzhou and Hangzhou to new commercial environments and markets — bringing more ways to practice, play and experience golf closer to the places people already live, work and socialize.
