 The r7 CGB MAX incorporates a variety of technologies that promote maximum COR,
maximum COR zone, maximum ball speed, maximum clubhead speed and maximum
forgiveness. Although the r7 XD delivers an exceptional combination of power,
distance and forgiveness, and is also extremely easy to launch, the r7 CGB MAX
offers a greater degree of refinement that allows it to perform even better
than the r7 XD.
The r7 CGB MAX generates the maximum COR allowed by the USGA. That’s made
possible by the milled 455 stainless steel clubface, which is extremely thin
yet extremely strong. The MAX’s high COR helps generate high initial ball
speed, equaling exceptional distance by incorporating the same Inverted Cone
Technology used to expand the COR zone in TaylorMade metalwoods such as the r7
quad, r5 dual and r5 dual TP. The Inverted Cone, which is milled directly into
the back of the MAX’s clubface, increases the size of the COR zone – the area
of the clubface that delivers high COR even on mis-hits.
- Enhanced Inverted Cone Technology maximizes the COR zone, delivering the
highest ball speed over a larger face area. Experience longer carry and distance on mis-hits.
- 100% CNC-milled, high strength 455 stainless steel clubface offers the
highest allowable COR for maximum ball speed. Experience maximum carry and distance.
- Hollow Top-Line frame and wide sole allows 17 grams of mass to be positioned lower and deeper back, away from the face. This delivers the highest launch angle for maximum carry.
- Largest iron clubhead with four tungsten cartridges positioned heel and toe delivers a high MOI and increases forgiveness on mis-hits.
- Hyperlight graphite shaft promotes maximum swing speed for maximum
distance.
